WWE Comments On Classic Content Additions, Stampede Update

WWE released the following statement this past week about the recent classic programming additions to the WWE Network:

“Now you can relive more than 150 hours of archival footage from Global Wrestling Federation, Mid-South Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, NWA World Championship Wrestling and AWA on the award-winning WWE Network. Watch the early days of legendary Superstars such as Sting, Steve Austin, The Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho and others anytime, anywhere on demand.”

Since then the Stampede Wrestling videos have been removed. Though not confirmed, the rumor is that The Hart family sold WWE the rights to the Stampede Footage but did not have the rights to the Bret Hart portions of the library, causing WWE to pull them until the issue is cleared up.

Have you watched any of the classic wrestling on WWE Network? Comment below.
