UFC Spokesman Denies Reported Sale For $4.2 Billion

Last night we reported that FloCombat’s claims that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) had sold for $4.2 billion.

Late last night Dave Sholler, the UFC’s vice president of public relations, athlete marketing and development sent out a statement denying the sale, “FloCombat.com’s report indicating that the UFC has been sold is false. We’ve communicated that to our staff members tonight via an internal memo.”

UFC issued no further comment, so it’s hard to say if FloCombat is completely off base, or that it was a premature story and the deal is almost closed, but not yet complete. Either wayway it looks like something big is in the works. We will keep you updated as this story develops.
