ROH Top Prospects 2016 Tournament Details

Ring of Honor has released details of their Top Prospects 2016 Tournament:

The search has begun to find the next Ring of Honor star! On Saturday, January 9, the ROH 2016 TOP PROSPECT TOURNAMENT will commence at a TV Taping in Concord, NC, just outside of Charlotte, and will wrap up on February 6 in Nashville, TN! As in years past, the winner of the Fifth Annual Top Prospect Tournament will receive a Ring of Honor contract AND a shot at the Ring of Honor World Television Champion, whomever that may be!

The Top Prospect Tournament has been the stepping stone into stardom for some of Ring of Honor’s top athletes! The inaugural tournament in 2011 netted current World Tag Team Champion Mike Bennett his contract after defeating Kyle O’Reilly in the final while the 2013 edition did the same for Matt Taven, launching him to a World TV title opportunity, dethroning Adam Cole.

2014 Top Prospect Finalist “War Beard” Hanson & Ray Rowe are now the ROH World Tag Team champions less then two years after facing each other in the 2014 finals. Last year, Donovan Dijak defeated Will Ferrara in Philadelphia to become the 2015 Top Prospect and has proved to be a force to be reckoned with as a member of the House of Truth!

The entrants for the 2016 ROH Top Prospect Tournament are being finalized and each of the competitors will be announced on ROHWrestling.com in the coming days! Who will go the distance and be this year’s Bennett, Taven, Hanson, or Dijak? Will a runner-up like O’Reilly, Rowe, or Ferrara assert themselves as undeniable and catch the eyes of ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuiness? Or will a wild-card talent like Cheeseburger in 2014 or Dalton Castle in 2015 emerge as a star in defeat?

There is one way to find out: buy your tickets now and be the first to see the future in the Top Prospects 2016 Tournament!

Top Prospects 2016 Tournament begins Saturday, January 9, Charlotte (Concord), NC, Cabarrus Event Center, 7:00 pm (National TV Taping).

Finals on Saturday, February 6, Nashville, TN, Municipal Auditorium, 7:00 pm (National TV Taping).
