Mr. Pogo Passes Away

Japanese pro wrestling death match legend Mr. Pogo has passed away.

Pogo (real name Tetsuo Sekigawa) reportedly passed away due to a cerebral infarction that occurred while undergoing back surgery.

Mr. Pogo came to the US and Canada from Japan and began his career as a midcard wrestler billed as Judo Joe. He returned to Japan an achieved moderate success, until he became a big star on the death match circuit for FMW and W*ING, most notably feuding with pro wrestling legend Terry Funk.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Mr. Pogo.

Mr. Pogo was 66 years old.
