GFW & FOX News’ Tyrus Calls Out ‘The Progressive Liberal’

The latest episode of former WCW President Eric Bischoff’s podcast, Bischoff on Wrestling, featured a political summit with two prominent pro wrestlers from opposite sides of the aisle: FOX News’ Tyrus & ‘The Progressive Liberal’ Daniel Richards.

Richards has been making international media waves with his ‘Progressive Liberal’ persona that has been rankling conservative independent pro wrestling fans across the South. Dawning pro-Hillary Clinton clothing and other DNC fare he has now been featured on MSNBC, CNN, BBC America and most recently HBO’s VICE News.

During Richards appearance on Bischoff’s podcast he described ‘The Progressive Liberal’ as, “Getting tons of legitimate heat. You have to understand that I predominantly wrestle in the Southeast. It’s bible belt… it’s coal country. When I talk about clean energy as opposed to coal it’s not just ‘we hate this guy for his far left views’ it’s an assault on their way of life.”

FOX News’ The Greg Gutfeld Show regular Tyrus brought his own conservative slant to the discussion. While decidedly not politically aligned with Richards the two did bond over their mutual love of pro wrestling and willingness to want to talk with people on the other side of the aisle.

Tyrus revealed towards the end of the podcast appearance that The Greg Gutfeld Show had actually approached him about possibly bringing ‘The Progressive Liberal’ on for a segment. After talking with Richards himself Tyrus stated, “I am going to have to go back to Greg and say that I’ve met you and that we should do something.”

For his part Bischoff thinks the idea is, “Awesome.”
