Eric Bischoff Weighs In On CNN Black Mailing Meme Creator

Former WCW President Eric Bischoff is weighing in on the brewing controversy over CNN blackmailing a Redditor that created the now famous Trump Vs. CNN meme.

For those unfamiliar with the story, President Donald Trump tweeted out a humorous internet meme of his WrestleMania appearance last week. The meme portrayed Trump beating Vince McMahon with the CNN logo replacing McMahon’s head. To most people it was a harmless dig at the CNN. To humorless CNN, it was a high crime and misdemeanor.

CNN then apparently hunted down the Redditor who took credit for the original meme and apparently coerced an apology, threatening to publicly to reveal his name if he does it again:

Here are some of Eric’s thoughts on the subject:

I think most reasonable people will agree, we are on dangerous ground when multi-billion dollar corporations track down identity’s of people poking fun at them and threaten to expose them. Even if you think the Reddit guy was a butt hole for some of his alleged posts, his family friends and co-workers could be caught in the crossfire of any revenge visited upon him by CNN revealing his identity.
